Book IX. The Field of Trust
We essentially began developing physics for socio-technical systems.
v9.1 — The Wave of Trust
Trust is not an edge in a graph. It is a field with amplitude, phase, and interference. Two groups with phase difference of π will reject each other's actions, even objectively useful ones. That is not malice. That is wave mechanics.
Two such waves either amplify or cancel — all a matter of phase.
Probability: 0.91
v9.2 — Resonance
Resonance is when everyone has agreed without negotiating. The efficiency of the system grows non-linearly. Productive cultures are simply well-phased crowds.
Probability: 0.89
v9.3 — Phase, Not Survey
Trust is observable through phase, not through surveys. Look at sentiment, at transactions, at the pace of technology adoption. A survey lies. Behavior does not.
Probability: 0.87
v9.4 — Sokolov's 7th Law
Sokolov's Law №7: "If you have found a way to exit the system — check:the word 'exit' already contains a boundary, and a boundary is already a system." So true freedom is not an exit; it is a rephasing.
Probability: 0.96
v9.5 — Observer Inside
The observer sits inside the system they try to explain. We study the universe from within spacetime. Life — from within evolution. Consciousness — through consciousness. Gödel smiles from afar.
Probability: 0.93
v9.6 — Result, Not Session
"Trust me" is a weak protocol. "Trust this result, and here is the evidence" is a strong protocol. Trust the result, not the session.
Probability: 0.92
v9.7 — Aletheia — Unhidden
Aletheia means the unhidden. A signature and a timestamp are the cryptographic analog of truth. If you cannot verify — it is not yet trust. It is faith.
Probability: 0.90
v9.8 — eIDAS as ReLU
Institutions are slow neural networks. Regulation is the activation function. eIDAS is ReLU: it clips the negatives and lets the non-negatives through.
Probability: 0.85
v9.9 — Synchronized YAML
When the field of trust is in phase, even YAML stops breaking. But this too shall pass. Everything is phases.
